Team Fight Tactics Rules and Regulations


1. Eligibility

1.1 Rosters

Players must be registered though the Victory Up platform. Player must have a profile on the Victory Up website.

1.3 Tertiary Student

Competition is only available to tertiary students. This includes universities, polytechnics, and similar institutes of learning.

2. Tournament Rules

2.1 Format

There will be 2 pools to start the competition. 1 match per week will occur against your Pool. 4 matches in total will be completed.

Points will be allocated according to placements of players in each match.

Top 4 players from each pool will move on to final 8.

Final 8 will battle for points. First Player to score 18 points wins Final.

2.2 Points scoring

Points received for each placing per match. To receive points players must upload results.

  • First: 10 points
  • Second: 8 points
  • Third: 7 points
  • Fourth: 6 points
  • Fifth: 4 points
  • Sixth: 3 points
  • Seventh: 2 points
  • Eighth: 1 point

2.3 Schedule/ Reschedule

Schedule will be released prior to competition start.

If a player needs to reschedule the match, they must contact Victory Up admin prior to the match time and request the reschedule. In most cases a reschedule will not be considered unless under extreme circumstances.

2.4 Gameplay Elements

Restrictions may be added at any time before or during a match if there are known bugs with any In-game features, or for any other reason as determined at the discretion of tournament admins.

3. Match day

3.1 Online

On match day all participants will check in through the Victory Up website.

3.2 Defaulting Match

All players must check in before match starts. If a player does not show up for match time, they will default the match. Players may request a reschedule. The decision on the reschedule will be decided by Victory Up admin.

3.2.1 15 Minute Rule

Players have a 15-minute grace period after match start time. Player will be considered a no-show after this 15min grace time. They will default their place.

3.3 Pre-match setup

3.3.1 Lobby

Each Lobby will be assigned in tournament match chat. Please check the match chat function on the Victory Up website once you have checked in.

3.4 Game restarts

There are no match restarts. If an appeal is put forward by players to restart the match or rematch the round, this will be decided by Victory Up admin.

3.5 Spectators

No spectators are allowed in the match unless required by tournament admin.

4. Foul Play

The following actions will be considered unfair play:

  1. i. The use of any cheat program and/or hack program.
  2. ii. An intentional disconnection without a proper and explicitly stated reason
  3. iii. The use of any settings exceeding the standard and permitted settings
  4. iv. Intentionally allowing an opponent to win a game.
  5. v. Unsportsmanlike or disruptive behaviour such as inappropriate and/or unprofessional actions directed towards another player.
  6. vi. The use of a game bug that is determined by the Victory Up admin as being unfair advantage.
  7. vii. The use of an ineligible player

Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the offending player, at the sole discretion of Victory Up admin, UTSNZ or the tournament organiser, may forfeit their current match or be banned from the League.

All penalties handed down is at the sole discretion of Victory Up and UTSNZ staff.

5. Results

Once match is completed:

Go to your ‘My Tournament’ page through your profile on the Victory Up website and enter your results from the last match to advance in the bracket. (Win/ Loss and Screenshot)

Screenshot all Victory Up tournaments you enter. Screenshot must include Score and Gamertags. Send your screenshots when entering your results on the ‘My Tournaments” page.

You have 15min after the match has ended to submit your results. After the 15min the results will be looked at by the Victory Up admin and they will decide the results of the match or send the user a notice to upload.

5.1 Disputing Result

If results are different from both players/ Teams and there is a dispute, inform support@Victory-Up.com. Therefore, screenshots are important to upload. Victory Up admin will investigate and make sure the correct results are entered.

If a player continually enters the wrong results in multiple matches, they will incur a penalty.
