NBA2k

NBA 2K is a series of basketball sports simulation video games developed and released annually since 1999. The premise of each game in the series is to emulate the sport of basketball, more specifically, the National Basketball Association.

One of the easiest formats of esports to understand, NBA2k plays and feels like the traditional on court game of Basketball.

Whether you have a squad of 5 for the more traditional format of basketball or your feeling the uniqueness of 2k and want to ball out on the park and for those who have what it take to control the whole team, nba2k in the HSESL will fill your need.

Team Requirements

To enter NBA2K, Schools must enter a team of;

Playnow

Minimum : 1 Player

Maximum : 1 Player

Pro-Am 3s

Minimum : 3 Players

Maximum : 5 Players

Pro-Am 5s

Minimum : 5 Players

Maximum : 9 Players

Schools can choose whether students play from school or from another location.

Cost

Playnow

The cost per Student entry is $35.00+GST NZD.

Pro Am 3v3
The cost per team entry is $105.00+GST NZD.

Pro Am 5v5

The cost per team entry is $175.00+GST NZD

Victory Up will invoice the School directly and not individual students.

Divisions

NBA2K will be open division across all 3 game modes.

There will be separate divisions for both Playstation and Xbox.

Match Times and Format

Regular Season is 1 Match per week and best of 3 series.

With a total of 8 matches being played in the regular season with a potential of 24 games in total.

Regional Finals is a Best of 3 series with playoffs being played over 6 Weeks.

National Finals are all Best of 5 series including the Championship round.

Games will be played on Thursdays at 5PM, except for the Wellington region where all games start at 4PM

Age Rating

There is no Restrictions on age for NBA2k

Platform & Game Generation

NBA2k will be offered on Playstation and Xbox consoles, this game is not cross-platform enabled so League will be determined by entry of each console.

NBA2K22 Current Gen will be used on both consoles.

Resources

Traditional basketball coaching can be utilised in NBA2K coaching for your students. Screens, 3&D, 5-out and a number of other strategies work seamlessly in the game title.
